Job Description / Information

The Senior Financial Analyst position is an integral member of the MSNT Group providing insightful financial reporting, template construction and coordination along with consolidation of periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) reporting and planning activities. In this role, the individual will provide direct support to the Director of Financial Reporting for the MSNT Group along with liaising with Divisional level controllers/analysts & Corporate Finance Group members on a regular basis. Responsibilities are time sensitive and execution of this function occurs in a fast paced environment requiring strong organizational skills, sound financial and accounting principles knowledge, acute attention to detail, robust MS Office (Excel) skills and confidence combined with innate proficiency working with financial reporting systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Detailed Description)

Financial Reporting

Prepares and analyzes operating performance and profit projections for reporting and developing action items: Weekly Orders/Sales/Op. Income Reporting, Monthly Flash, Actuals, Projections, as well as ad-hoc reporting for Group President, Group CFO, and Corporate Finance team

Assists in the monthly P&L reporting and projection process for the Group. Actively participates in discussions with Division finance personnel and assists in analyzing and summarizing results at the Group level for Group leadership and Corporate

Will perform key role in development and ongoing preparation of Monthly Management Financial Packet containing critical reports providing one stop data package for Group leaders to understand drivers, metrics and overall financial performance of the Divisions and Group

Perform consolidation of detailed Divisional Orders and Shipment reporting

Generate Group President financial scorecards, participate in Group and Divisional bonus metric scale development and incorporate into a tracking tool, perform periodic evaluation of projected attainment and calculation of actual % attained for payout

Contributes to monthly financial statement commentary highlighting key performance drivers.

Generate quarterly Fx Impact reporting

Financial Systems & Reporting Tools

Through use of best practices be responsible for maintaining efficient reporting templates inclusive of impact of acquisitions, performing modifications necessary to meet Corporate requirements as well as incorporating Divisional and Group leaders considerations

Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the use of financial reporting systems and databases as well as thoroughly understanding organizational structure and implication(s) of changes

Perform financial system reporting administration (“locking” Group results, insuring Divisional validation errors are cleared, demoting Divisions to execute changes)

Generate standard financial reports from reporting system along with working with Corporate Hyperion team in design, developing, validating customized reports

Planning & Forecasting

Participates in monthly forecasting process, annual Strategic Plan and Budget processes for the MSNT Group including pro-forma template generation, modeling, consolidating and analysis

Other Miscellaneous

Assist in creation of executive presentation materials

On an as needed basis conduct presentations and/or webcasts to introduce timelines and/or new processes to remote Divisional finance personnel

Formulates and communicates timelines with Divisional finance teams for variety of deliverables

Provide financial support and analysis on ad-hoc projects and reporting requests

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting / Finance and relevant work experience in related field required

CMA or CPA preferred

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office tools, particularly Excel

Sound accounting knowledge, understanding of GAAP and SOX principles

Qualifications & Experience:

3-5+ years of Finance/Accounting experience

Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software highly preferred

Must be highly analytical and possess a high degree of attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple requirements simultaneously and meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy

Experience with data analytics, financial modeling is a plus

Capable of working independently and utilizing sound judgement in executing responsibilities

Ability to work with all levels of management
