Job Description: Performs with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative, CT scans of designated anatomy and high pressure injection of contrast material to physician specifications. Adheres to necessary radiation safety precautions. On-call rotation if required. Performs as medical scribe, providing documentation of all events for duration of the case. Performs Daily QA of CT Equipment. Perform patient registration duties as required.
Minimum Requirements: Performs imaging examinations using established protocols with the level of knowledge acquired through completion of occupationally specific education. Member in good standing with the A.R.R.T. Must posses a high degree of maturity and exercise individual judgment in working with patients, equipment and personnel that are involved in CT exams Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Certified by the A.R.R.T. in Diagnostic Radiology with advance training certification in CT HOVC training prefered Complete and maintain EPIC registration training Must be able to work under stressful situations. Must be able to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information relating to patients, families, physicians, and nursing personnel. WIll be required to work in the CT department when MSU services are not required
Preferred Qualifications: CPR
*Licensure and Certifications *ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
