As a software engineering intern, you will enjoy a collaborative environment where you will work closely with other software engineers in an organization that encourages and values collaboration, mentoring, and continued learning. You will have the opportunity to leverage and grow your hands-on software engineering expertise as you contribute to real sponsor challenges. While responding to these sponsor needs, recent summer interns had the opportunity to gain experience with:
Virtualization Technologies (e.g., VMWare, Docker)
Agile Development Processes (Scrum)
Software Quality Assurance (configuration management, Jira, DevOps)
Mobile environments and mobile computing
We are seeking Software Engineering Interns who have:
Demonstrated interest and/or experience in applied software engineering
Proficiency in one or more of the following--Java, Python, XML, HTML, C#, Objective C; Database design & development including SQL
Experience with a broad set of software development tools
Excellent academic performance
Strong oral/written communication skills
Demonstrated characteristics of a continuous learner
High level of desire to help their nation solve its most critical problems
Candidate must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in a technical discipline (including but not limited to Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, etc.).
Candidate must be U.S. citizen able to obtain a clearance.
