Fiserv Security Engineer, Sr in Brookfield, Wisconsin
As a senior Security Engineer duties will include design, management of security and systems to enable confidentiality, integrity and availability of all data with adequate controls to support and maintain secure infrastructure. The Security Engineer will work within Enterprise Technology Group to support and maintain services to meet client objectives and Service Level Agreements. Work with other technology departments to address vulnerabilities to minimize risks. Ensure adherence to compliance, policies, standards, and procedures. The Security Engineer maintains security documentation and retains appropriate audit trails of security monitoring activities, reporting, incident handling, and problem resolution.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Make recommendations for enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall system security.
Participate in the planning and design of security architecture.
Implement, manage, and maintain firewalls, virtual private networks intrusion detection/prevention, access control in compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
Analyze and implement complex firewall rules on and/or security devices. Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity.
Collaborate on the design of network infrastructure and their security subsystems.
Create and maintain documentation of network configurations and processes.
Research and manage resolution of security findings from audits, assessments, and exceptions.
Troubleshoot firewall problems in a large enterprise involving complex network application flows between multiple hosts spanning multiple firewalls/security zones and different geographic locations.
Audit data gathering and maintain compliances
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of how to troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues that involve firewalls, network, and applications.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technologies
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Security
Minimum 4 years of working experience with information security technologies such as network firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, proxies, Web Application Firewalls, database Firewalls, and VPNs.
Proven hands-on experience with firewalls and a comprehensive knowledge of IP networking and network security including Intrusion Detection, DMZ, encryption, IPSec, PKI, VPNs, MPLS/VPN, Site to Site VPN tunnels, SSL/VPN, proxy services, and DNS.
Minimum 4 years with hands-on experience in managing and maintaining firewalls.
Good knowledge of Windows servers, Active Directory infrastructure (DNS, etc.), TCP/IP protocol suite, DMZ and Web architectures along with excellent problem-solving skills.
Expertise of information security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, SSL, Proxies, and VPNs.
Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and organizational skills
Ability to confront conflict and difficult issues in a professional, assertive, and proactive manner
Ability to interact across all levels of management
Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively within a matrixed organization with employees at all levels
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college, university, or related experience.
Area of specialization: Computer Science or Advanced Certifications
One or more of the following certification: Firewall Certification, CISSP, CCSA, CCNA, GIAC.
Working knowledge of IT auditing and information security management
Working knowledge of Project Management and demonstrated leadership skills
