POSITION SUMMARY:

Designs, builds and tests in various software technologies, application programs in accordance with a specified business need and in a way that achieves the development goals for assigned projects. Application developers typically work as part of a project team, and also communicate progress, technical issues and their resolution.

  • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs

  • Collaborate with IT and Business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end to end technical solutions

  • Perform coding to written technical specifications

  • Test the resulting components in accordance with company standards and as defined in approved testing plans

  • Investigate, analyze and document reported defects – raising issues as appropriate

  • Analyze run time profiles to debug errors that may exist

  • Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects

  • Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses

  • Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates that meet SDLC standards

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills:

  • 2 years of experience with Selenium

  • 3 years of hands on experience with Java

  • Experience with code development inclusive of automated unit tests

  • Experience working within a matrixed environment

Desired Skills:

  • Behavior Driven Design and/or Test Driven Design Experience

  • API Testing

  • Service Virtualization

  • CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment)

  • Framework or System Architecture Design
