The Senior Director, Agile is responsible for designing a strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile. This includes every stage of adoption, from the introduction of Agile to fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile, to sustainingAgilemethodologies and continually offering strategies for improvement. As well as educate employees at all levels, including senior, and at times clients, on Agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the process in their own work.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensuresthatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

  • Demonstrate expertise and proficiency in Agile methodologies, in technical and non-technical applications within an organization.

  • Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to mentor team members and customers from a Waterfall environment to an Agile environment.

  • Ability to lead in a matrixed environment, working across IT, business, finance, risk, legal, compliance.

  • Have experience managing Agile teams and conducting ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives); Product Owner and Scrum Master certification desired.

  • Ability to drive strategic change, sponsor new initiatives and innovative solutions.

  • Oversee development of Agile approach for the organization, minimizing complexity and unnecessary departure from agile norms.

  • Communicate Agile methodology and work with stakeholders to understand risks, and mitigate and manage resolution of those risks.

  • Oversee development of Agile training for executives and teams participating in pilots.

  • Participate in and lead training to speed adoption and effectiveness, including with senior stakeholders.

  • Identify and manage resources on call to advise teams adopting or operating in Agile (Agile coaches, specialists); provide resource options to Enterprise and Business that ensures consistency of messaging and approach.

  • Provide a single source of information and Agile resources to individuals and teams seeking additional information and self-study.

  • Prevent bureaucracy and waterfall mindset from diluting effectiveness of Agile efforts, by providing thought leadership as challenges arise.

  • Lead organizational change focused on innovation and learning.

  • Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to mentor team members and customers from a Waterfall environment to an Agile environment.

  • Provide hands-on support to all employees, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles, leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of Agile as well as overall company growth and improvement.

  • Ability to perform as a liaison between Array and the customer in addressing Agile concepts, program/project management strategies, lessons learned efficiencies, and every-day opportunities.

  • Implement Agile while leveraging techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • 4 year business degree or equivalent experience.

  • 10+years related experience, requiring a deep knowledge Agile Methodology.

  • Scrum Coach or Scum Mater certification preferred.

  • Proven ability in leveraging deep subject matter expertise to develop and deploy a vision and align others to that vision. Be known for providing creative thought leadership while also listening and engaging others to provide input in the shapingofthat vision.

  • People leadership is key in this function # both the ability to effectively work in teams across the bank with multiple stakeholders and to influence and align others.

  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading large scale change / people change initiatives, engaging employees through such change.

  • Demonstrated relationship building skills, with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of positive influence.

  • Strong negotiation skills are essential, able to work through others to achieve goals, garner stakeholder support.

  • Excellent analytical skills in assessing risk, issues and challenging the status quo.

  • Proven ability to impact the customer experience and exceed customer expectations at every contact.

  • Results driven individual with a history of making an impact, developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term.

  • Strong leadership skills and able to work within a matrixed organization.

  • Able to manage multiple projects and adapt to rapidly changing priorities in the work environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
