Tech Data - US Accountant II in Clearwater, Florida
Assists in daily and monthly accounting processes in support of the global IT organization. Completes various account analyses and/or account billings. Identifies, researches, and resolves items impacting the financial statements.
Assists in the preparation of various account analyses and reconciliations
Prepares monthly journal entries
Provides financial/analytical support to various departments
Calculates month-end accruals
Assists in the collection and dissemination of financial information
Escalates issues noted to management in a timely manner Identifies opportunities for process improvements
Ability to prepare clear and concise documentation
Performs additional duties as assigned

Required Educational: Associates degree or above minimum, Bachelors or above preferred. Approximately 1 - 7 years experience required in Accounting or Finance plus the following:
Manages smaller scale projects by tracking deadlines and collecting/organizing information.
Develops knowledge of resources necessary for guidance when applicable.
Identifies issues that require escalation and apply appropriate level of escalation.
Previous experience or advanced degree in specific job area or function; Identifies areas of risk and exposure and presents alternative solutions.
Assimilates research data from a variety of sources.
Analyzes and recommends appropriate courses of action to take.
Understands the impact of elements and processes as they relate to their functional area.
Knowledge and application of intermediate Excel
Good communication skills, attention to detail, adaptable to change, displays accuracy and timeliness, professionalism, teamwork
Problem Solving and "self starting" thinking required for analysis, evaluation, creating, reasoning, and drawing conclusions/solutions
Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
