Eaton Corporation Master Hydraulics Test Lab Technician in Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Eaton’s Hydraulic Power Motion Control Division is seeking a Master Hydraulic Test Lab Technician. The Master Hydraulic Test Lab Technician will be based in Eden Prairie, MN.
As a senior level Technician, you will be a project leader, owning initiatives with cross-functional project teams and continuously improving your skill-set, as well as the hydraulics test lab. You’ll be a mentor to new and developing technicians and ensure best practices are being properly trained and implemented. You’ll be looked to as the “problem solver” and the subject matter expert within our test lab.
Complete test requests according to specified test orders with a high degree of quality and in a timely manner.
Design, develop and improve test setups and test standards for optimum performance and through TPM methodologies in completion of specific and standard test processes.
Implement corrective action to test setups as required by established lab procedures, or when performance falls below acceptable limits, or as required by specific test orders.
Communicate test programs with engineering when appropriate to clarify purpose of testing and the required test results.
Serve as a mentor to technicians and engineers in regards to product knowledge and test practices in order to forward their development, and improve the standard of excellence in testing.
Document and organize test results per standard electronic format for simple retrieval of test history and corresponding data.
Complete annual calibration of all instrumentation per standard test lab procedure as required.
Complete all internal inspection requests as required by engineering.
Drive and measure performance of individual efforts to achieve balanced scorecard goals established for the test lab.
Be knowledgeable in multiple groups/products within the test lab, (Pumps, motors, valves, systems, NVH)
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the test lab in alignment with Lean and EHS corporate initiatives. Continually work to improve the presentation of the lab for this purpose.
Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 10 years of mechanical testing experience.
Fluid power certification.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
