KleinfelderIsLookingFor a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our team in supporting Oil & Gas projects for our Hamilton New Jersey office. This role will support work on a regular basis in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of related industry experience with at least 10 years managing large-scale civil-type construction projects; experience at oil & gas and/or petrochemical facilities preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Serves as client contact for the project * Leads project execution with implementation of Kleinfelder and client processes and procedures * Leads all phases of project execution including project organization, subcontractor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and reporting * Assist with building the project/program team including subconsultants * Supports contractor selection and subcontractor selection & stewardship * Plans, directs, coordinates, maintains schedule, and budget related to construction * Manages assigned staff * Manages subconsultants and subcontractors engaged to assist with construction management * Works independently, using knowledge of industry and/or professional guidelines and protocols to accomplish goals and objectives and solve complex problems. Requirements: * Plan for and use resources efficiently, look for ways to reduce costs, create accurate and realistic budgets, track and adjust budgets, contribute to budget planning * Create and maintain project schedules, identify and plan mitigation for schedule risks * Support identification and develop project opportunities for new work and/or expanded services at the project site * Follow and adhere to all federal and state regulations, client requirements and contracts, and company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, taxes, labor laws, building codes, or environmental regulations. * Establish project goals, milestones, and procedures, define roles and responsibilities, identify, and integrate project resources, coordinate projects throughout company, monitor project progress, manage multiple projects. * Be attentive to detail and accuracy, committed to excellence, look for improvements continuously, monitor quality levels, find root cause of quality problems, own/act on quality problems. Education: B.S. degree in Construction Management, Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred; or equivalent experience and education. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction project management required. Ten years of management experience required. Certification/Registration:Professional Engineer is preferred. 40-hour OSHA training required.
