The Payroll Administrator position is a short term temporary-to-fulltime opportunity based out of Germantown, Wisconsin. Major responsibilities - Manage employee deductions and other liabilities - Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll - Proper payroll information maintenance by collecting, calculating, and entering data - Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information - Prepare for department heads relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports - Perform any other duties that arise in the course of normal business operations - Understand and report necessary changes to payroll operations by maintaining established policies and procedures - Certify compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines - Perform review and verification of source documents - Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages - Payroll record maintenance by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Detail all payroll liabilities by establishing employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payment - Ensure employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and confidential information - Answer questions and requests related to payroll information

  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
  • Certified Payroll detail oriented designation preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll for over 500 employees
  • Solid understanding of payroll for under 100 employees
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Relevant experience of 2+ years in payroll
  • Knowledge of internal controls
  • Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
  • Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
  • Experienced in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
  • Prior experience working with accounting software
