Description

FieldCore's Wind Outbound Logistics team is looking for a logistics professional to become part of our Wind Fixtures Team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The main function of a Wind Fixture Logistics Analyst is to coordinate the international export along with the pickup and delivery of GE freight, while minimizing transit time and logistics costs. Domestic responsibilities will include identifying commodity

and equipment configurations needed to transport freight, recognizing and alerting carriers when freight requires additional special handling requirements, and highlighting carrier's inability to meet need dates and implementing routing solutions. In addition,

Logistics Specialists will audit shipment information to ensure key criteria are met, coordinate the storage of freight in detention warehouses, supply status reports to both internal and external parties, and provide tracking from the pickup through the delivery.

POSITION DUTIES:Project schedule design/planning for the return of GE Renewables Wind fixtures from projects to any location required by inventory demand, while managing and communicating with contracted carriers, site personnel, and other points of contact within the supply

chainMaintain constant updates to schedule to reflect real-time changes in Excel, Wind Outbound MS Access DB, and any other required system of record (OTM/ILS) and track all shipments for pickup and delivery confirmation in those same systemsGenerate and provide to all involved parties all required shipping documents, including those for export to other countries or imports to the US, which require following import/export and Air/Ocean processes that have specific customs requirements (BOLs, Invoices,

anything required for entry to US/CAN/MEX or export to foreign countries, etc.)Root Cause Analysis of any defect or failures in any part of the process as needed; report out and escalate to GE Quality Team and Management

POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIRMENTS:3 plus years of logistics/supply chain experience; a minimum of 1 year import/export logistics or freight forwarding experienceAssociates degree or equivalent work experience; BS/BA degree is desiredEffective verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsAdvanced MS ExcelExperience organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlinesExperience managing multiple deadlines and daily tasks effectively to meet deliverablesExcellent customer service skills and strong attention to detailExperience in customs and border transportation proceduresExperience creating and maintaining export documents in order to track goods ensuring on-time delivery to the final destinationAbility to arrange and manage shipments with multiple freight forwarders and carriers to meet demandStrong critical thinking and problem solving skillsA self-starter, passion for improvement, and desire to learnExperience working in a high volume/fast-paced supply chain environmentDemonstrated continuous improvement skillsAbility to handle conflict and develop appropriate solutions to resolve
