Eaton Corporation Assembly Technician II - Switch Line in Greenwood, South Carolina

Eaton has an immediate opening for an Assembly Technician II Switch Line located in Greenwood, SC.

Position Overview :

This person must remain proficient in all operations involving handling material within the department. They must be able to work closely with the Group Leaders and Production Supervisors to maintain an efficient flow of materials, while understanding inventory needs and changes within the plant.


  • Monitor epoxy by maintaining inventory at the machine, changing out drums, checking nitrogen pressure and adding/maintaining nitrogen when low

  • Collect product parts from receiving and place in appropriate locations physically and through SAP

  • Monitor switch line schedules and the inventory of all workstations, to ensure correct parts are available for assemblers in their areas

  • Maintain inventory in SAP through by cycle counting, notifying accounting, and informing production of date changes on purchase orders to ensure all parts are received when necessary

  • Maintain 5S of warehouse space and plant floor locations

  • Pack out completed product according to customer requirements, following the pack out schedule


Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Greenwood, SC will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational Skills

  • Pass yearly electrical safety training

  • Ability to receive certification to operate fork lift

  • Knowledge of SAP system
