  • Education, skills, and experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required and 2-3 years' experience in a Windows network environmentOne or more of the following current Security Certifications: CEH, CISM, CISSP, or GSEC is required. (Would consider candidate currently studying towards and obtaining within six months, as a condition of employment.)Work experience with one or more current releases of industry frameworks: HIPAA, HIPAA HITECH, PCI, ISO, NIST, or COBIT. Knowledge of VMware architecture and hands-on experience with V-motion, ESX, and other virtual management software is preferred.1 to 2 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server is required.Microsoft certification, MCSA or MCSE is preferred. The ability to maintain an Active Directory infrastructure, is preferred.Experience in DNS, DHCP, and other naming services, is preferred.Knowledge of disk management with SAN, NAS, and local storage with an emphasis on disk layout and performance, is preferred.Knowledge of tape backup software, is preferred.Strong oral and written communication, organization, problem solving, critical thinking, and ability to work without direct supervision, is preferred.Experience in preparation and supporting audits and audit materials is preferred. Experience with enterprise monitoring tools is preferred. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:Provide reliable and effective server systems environment for the enterprise by: Creating, configuring, and maintaining an enterprise server environment of maximum security, reliability, and performance per department standards and configuration.Under supervision of a Server System Administrator, implement new server systems technology.Perform server systems log analysis and monitoring, troubleshooting, and propose documented solutions of improvement and\or anomalies on a daily basis to CIO\Security Officer and Information Security Analyst. Analyze, patch and support server systems upgrades and expansion accurately without adversely affecting system availability for mission critical services:Review systems and improve server systems management tools such as: System configuration, documentation, and reportingSystem monitoring and alertingSystem performance monitoringMaintains FHCP inventory of systems both internal and Cloud based containing PHI, PII, and PCI related data in FHCP's HIPAA Risk Assessment Tools. Anticipate, identify, and respond to server systems problems, outages, and events.Provide support in operation, installation, configuring, and maintaining Backup Tape Library environment.Creates and maintains current departmental procedures and configuration standards. Provide accurate and effective server systems security measures for the enterprise by: Review logs and reports ensuring timely, accurate and cost efficient server systems security.Provide server systems security consultation.Review, customize, and implement new server systems security technology.Perform server systems security analysis, monitoring, and expert troubleshooting of host-based firewalls.Analyze, design, and implement server systems security changes accurately without adversely affecting service availability for the entire enterprise mission critical services.Finding, testing, and implementing ways to harden systems against possible threats.Identify and respond to security vulnerabilities, attacks and events. Provide technical support by: Provide 1st level support for server systems support by answering questions, resolving problems, and implementing changes handed off from the customer support team.Enhance and maintain the existing environments capacity and capabilitiesReview server systems configuration changes accurately without adversely affecting system availability for the enterprise mission critical services.Maintain an accurate and detailed work log in our ticket tracking system for all work requestsResolve hardware, software, and service problems by opening trouble tickets with equipment vendors and service providersEvaluate and identify ways to automate, streamline, and improve the day-to-day server maintenance and administrative practices of the server systems team.Assist in the preparation of audit deliverables\materials.
