JTAC Field Service Representative (Job Number:429894)
SAIC has an immediate need for a Field Service Representative (FSR) to support a handheld precision target project for the Government. The U. S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center require FSRs to support testing, development, training, research and future fielding efforts for an Android based software application. This software application utilizes real-time targeting data from organic sensor systems to enable Soldiers to rapidly develop precision targeting data for use with precision weapon systems at the maneuver unit level. Primary duty location is Huntsville, Alabama with frequent travel to various locations throughout the United States and possibly OCONUS.
Installation, operation, maintain and troubleshooting of the software application and related hardware systems.
Provide technical support for Soldiers and units in a tactical environment, as well as conducting training when needed.
Provide support as JTAC Instructor/Evaluator (JTAC-I/E), per the Joint Close Air Support (JCAS) Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
Provide classroom lecture, practical, simulator, and field instruction to JTAC students and JTACs in refresher syllabus in JCAS and call- for-fire tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), to include instructing and monitoring the execution of live controls.
Bachelors and one (1) years or more experience; Experience (4+ years) may be used in lieu of degree. Must be certified JTAC.
Must be formerly Qualified JTAC and have maintained the JTAC qualification within the last five (5) years.
Knowledgeable in all associated equipment and software, including, but not limited to, Harris PRC 117F, PRC-117G, IZLID IR Pointers, PRC-112 MBITRs, PRC-148 MBITRs, PRC-152 MBITRs, Quick Draw II, ROVER systems and associated equipment (i.e., ROVER receivers, antennas, SIR 2.0, SIR 2.5, Toughbook, etc.).
Experience in the deployment or configuration of precision weapon systems
Experience with military maps and coordination methodologies
Basic operational knowledge and troubleshooting of Android based handheld devices
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment
Able to work independently and efficiently with short term deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to clearly articulate and communicate via email, phone calls, and/or video teleconference
Experience in developing training materials
Willingness to travel (around 50%)
Prior experience as a military instructor is highly preferred
Experience in manual and automated tactical targeting familiarity using AFATDS, Ballistic Computers, Tactical Imagery programs or other fire support equipment
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other Office products
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and repair cable
Familiarity with Personal computers, switches, routers, Internet Protocol (IP) addressing, network topologies, and troubleshooting procedures.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
