As the Event Planner for The Center, you will ensure the successful coordination of events hosted at the site. You will be responsible not only for the planning and execution of scheduled events; but will also be proactive in outreach to ensure internal stakeholders and external partners understand the capabilities and benefits of using The Center. You maintain the organizations' reputation in the way you negotiate with external partners.WHAT YOU'LL DO Successfully manage the identification and addressing of client needs including comprehensive understanding of the total event planning process, event requirements, and contractual obligations to implement both small and large scale events.Create and manage budget for all projects.Maintain event space calendar and proactively market, and source events to be held at The Center when capacity and availability allows.Mange appropriate vendor relationships to include catering, decorations, entertainment, transportation, etc..Partner with The Center Director and Concierge to ensure a positive experience for all users of The Center.Build a strong partnership with Facilities Management Company to ensure capabilities are in place to support all event requirements. Relevant Skills and Required Experience Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Public Relations or similar field.At least 5 years experience with event planning; corporate experience preferred.
