Reporting to the Head of the Transformation Program Management Office, the Senior Program Manager is responsible for shaping the overall Transformation program scope, business case, milestone plan and Key Decisions across all 3 component programs: Core Banking Transformation, Data Strategy and Governance and Technology Modernization. S/he plays a pivotal role in defining the scope, business case and milestones across programs and facilitating key decisions with the ECA that represent tradeoffs between business, functional and technology priorities.
Design the Transformation Program to meet the goals. Leverage deep expertise and a strong, external mental map to translate high level program goals into scope and milestones across the 3 programs. Ensure programs are designed to allow them to operate as independently as possible, while perceiving and escalating potential trade-offs to the Transformation Working Group for decision.
Prepare the Transformation Working Group and other ECA members for Key Decisions. Curate information on the external and internal environment and educate the ECA in advance of making Key Decisions.
De-risk program execution through routine deliverable quality and plan probing. Maintain a continuous synthesis of program outcomes to goals, and identify required corrective actions at the Transformation program level. Establish a community of SMEs to proactively assess deliverable quality for major deliverables, seeking external inputs where necessary.
Program Scope and Change Management – Ensure program scope is aligned to program goals at all times. Review, assess and recommend Program-Level change control requests for approval.
Develop program business case monitoring and reporting – in conjunction with CFOs.
Executive Committee and Leadership Reporting . Develop and deliver strategic presentations to home office/Executive Committee for the Americas.
Manage common enabling functions across all 3 programs , including aggregating supplier spend and identifying opportunities for aggregation and increased value through strategic partnership, managing recruiting pipeline and coordinating employee change management and engagement activities as appropriate.
This position typically requires a degree from a four-year college (e.g., B.A., B.S.) Advanced degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
Requires 15 years in application development and standardization, program management, including implementation and execution.
Requires leadership and management experience in a transformational program of equivalent scale.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong understanding of Systems Delivery Life Cycle and Program Management tenants .
Strong understanding of Banking (Deposit, Mortgage and loans a plus) .
Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills .
Ability to develop effective interpersonal networks within the organization .
Ability to communicate complex issues and ideas with absolute precision and clarity .
Ability to partner and work with other leaders across the bank to achieve business objectives .
Ability to coach others in a matrix organization .
Proven track record of leadership and effectiveness.
Detail oriented and well organized.
Strong work ethic, ability to make decisions, & work under tight deadlines.
