The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has a Turn Around Manager position available in La Porte, Texas. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Operations function. This position will report to J. David Eccles.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
The primary responsibility of the Turnaround Section Supervisor/Turnaround Project Manager is to lead and manage turnaround (TA) activities at the La Porte Chemours Plant. This role must work closely with the Business Line to lead the turnaround process from scope definition through the start-up of the production unit.
Works with the TASC (Turnaround Steering Committee) to establish turnaround goals and measurements of success
Monitors TAR Core Team progress against milestones, report status to the TASC, and maintains compliance records
Leads post turnaround critique to capture improvement opportunities for TASC review and endorsement
Implements Change Order process including approval status
Actively engages team in utilization of Best Practice tools throughout all phases of the event from pre-planning, TAR execution, and through post TAR activities
Stewards team's TAR Best Practice requirements and incident reporting, validates that all responsibilities are met, and develops and implements improvement plans
Quality/Turnover responsibility and process
Involved in contractor selection and evaluation of contract execution
Develops alignment documentation when projects are incorporated into an event in the following areas:
Promotes and ensures team is utilizing the turnaround efficiency checklist
Stewards all internal and external follow-ups to completion
Organizes and sets up mechanical responsibility reviews for various events
Develops TAR updates at the site level, weekly stewardship packages at MLT (Management Leadership Team) reviews, and weekly HQ (Headquarters) package
Develops and presents TAR kickoff meetings

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment both internally and externally
Strong conflict resolution skills
Ability to gather information, assess alternate solutions and consequences, and implement solutions
Demonstrated experience managing aggressive milestone compliance / targets
The following skill sets are /preferred/ by the business unit:
Previous experience in a turnaround role
Prior experience with project management in a manufacturing environment preferred
