Maintains monthly, quarterly and yearly assigned sales quota through the execution of the following essential duties and responsibilities: Responsible for the management and new business development of a residential condominium portfolio. Strong understanding of relationship building and contract negotiations. Cultivates relationships within existing and new large MDUs, Condos and HOA portfolios to include developers, property owners, managers, boards and associations. Proactively increases targeted business agreements through negotiating contracts with landlords/property owners/ decision makers. Negotiates new bulk service and access agreements with landlords, property owners, and other decision- makers. Provides a local customer service interface within all assigned condominiums and other assigned properties as necessary . Identifies opportunities and develops business cases to extend RCN's footprint to multi-unit business locations. Frequent professional face-to-face interaction with the customers, property management companies, managers and leasing agents. Serves as a contact for construction issues and other concerns. Evaluates performance data on key metrics and provides continuous performance feedback to the organization, as well as local leadership. Assists independent contractors with strategy and RCN customer advocacy in order to gain the new access agreements in the market. Utilizes cold calling techniques. Distributes marketing material and participates in sales and launch events as necessary. Up-sells current and new customers. Attends mandatory sales meetings. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills: Bachelor’s Degree Must be self-motivated 5+ years’ experience as a quota bearing direct salesperson. Strong understanding of contract negotiations and benefits of RCN’s product lines. Background in sales processes and working the B2B space preferable. Understand the challenges that property owner's face and how they make their decisions. Real estate background is a plus Knowledge of telecommunication/fiber -industry" - products preferred. Proven ability to manage conflict, resolve customer/landlord escalation issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Access, especially Excel. Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize. Deals effectively with ambiguity, stress, and uncertainty. Able to work with direction but also stand firm or offer input when necessary. Must be a team player, able to handle ambiguity, anticipate and react to changes quickly. Ability to make decisions quickly and independently, a self-starter. Sales or Marketing background in the telecommunications industry desired. Excellent communication, organizational, relationship building, presentation and influence skills are essential. Strong team orientation, customer service-minded, and flexibility are a must. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for getting to and from assigned territories. Bi-lingual a plus.
Education: College degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
