This is a great food service opportunity only working Monday-Friday. You will always have weekends off!! We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our onsite cafeteria dinning team at IGT’s North American Gaming Headquarters in Las Vegas. We have about 550 employees to serve. This position will be 40 hours to cover a maternity leave for about 3 months between the varied hours of 6am-3:00pm. After we would like to retain your services on-call. On-call will probably aver 40 hours but very well could still be 40 hours. If you are an accountable Cafeteria Assistant who can participate in Barista and Cashier responsibilities, please apply!!!

You will process all cash transactions accurately and efficiently. And play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction objectives. Duties and responsibilities of the cafeteria assistant will include greeting customers when entering or leaving our dining room, maintaining a clean and tidy checkout are and keeping reports of cash and credit transactions. You are also responsible for preparing and selling coffee drinks, such as expresso, latte, and cappuccino as we have a Starbucks onsite.

Cafeteria Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare or serve menu items, such as sandwiches or salads. Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, expresso, latte, and cappuccino.

• Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, snacks, and cookies for coffee bar.

• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards Greet and welcomes every customer. Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.

• Prepare or serve menu items, such as sandwiches or salads. Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, expresso, latte, and cappuccino.

• Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the dining room and coffee bar.

• Receive payment and issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers.

• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.

• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas

• Assist other team members as needed

Required Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Food Service

• Nevada Food Handler card

• Customer Service and Strong Communication skill set

Preferred Qualifications

Cafeteria Food Service experience

Barista experience preferred

Special requirements needed

Security Investigation

Able to stand an eight hour shift

Pass a background check
