Lenax Construction Services is looking for a Chief Estimator. The Chief Estimator will be responsible for managing a team of Cost Estimators. He will be responsible for daily client interactions as well as client growth. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate estimates at schematic and design development level of design

  • Manage workload utilization of cost management team members

  • Provide value engineering services, prepare task orders, set up work breakdown structure, meet deadlines, review and estimate change order, reconcile with General Contractors or peer reviews, etc.

  • Assist with business development endeavors

  • Manage cost management team to include professional growth of those who report to you

  • Local Travel will be required

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in construction or related field

  • 10+ years’ experience in the construction industry

  • 7+ years of estimating / cost estimating management experience

  • At least 3 years in a consulting and/or Construction Management environment highly preferred

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong experience with commercial estimating software, such as Timberline, MC2, and/or HCSS is preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Proven ability to maintain and develop clients

  • Ability to prepare detailed, accurate estimates

  • Must be able to lead estimating team

  • Self-starter and self-directed

  • Able to multi-task and be flexible
