Position Overview:

The Single Family Operations division is seeking a Data Analytics Senior to join the Condo Operations team. The Condo Operations team is responsible for the processes and systems used throughout Freddie Mac for collecting condo data.

Responsibilities include:

• Assess Data Quality and Data Integrity of Freddie Mac’s internal and external data. This involves both automated approaches as well as significant amount of manual validation of results

• Develop codes to clean and analyze large, messy data sets of numerical and textual data

• Create algorithms to answer questions, solve business problems and present it to management

• Build datasets for analysis by importing and converting data from various data formats, files systems and relational databases

• Identify data anomalies as well as identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations to management and business partners

Single Family Operations


• Typically 5 to 7 years’ hands-on experience developing data extraction, data integration, data quality, and data management processes in a SAS environment; Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

• Skilled in using Microstrategy data analytics and visualizations tools to retrieve, analyze, transform and report data is required

• 5+ years’ experience designing and developing highly complex SAS code for use in automated data processing systems on UNIX based platforms

• Database knowledge on DB2, Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server, Access

• Experience administering SAS and configuring SAS to work with multiple data sources and platforms (RDBMS, flat files, etc.)

• Experience in using technologies for manipulating structured and unstructured big data (Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, relational databases, NoSQL, etc.)
