Kforce Desktop Support Level I in Morristown, New Jersey

Kforce's client in Morris County, New Jersey (NJ) is looking to bring on an experienced Help Desk Analyst to their rapidly expanding organization. The ideal Help Desk Analyst for this role will have roughly 5 years of experience and have the ability to effectively communicate with end-users.Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop problems for end-users

  • Recommend and implement corrective solutions as needed

  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels

  • Imaging and deploying operating system and software

  • Provide technical assistance and one-on-one support to remote users

  • Responsible for managing end-to-end support of business partners including initial on-boarding, day-to-day support, and user recertification

  • Assess the need and implement performance upgrades to workstations

  • Add users and computers and make security changes within Active Directory

  • Receive and respond to incoming tickets, calls, and/or emails regarding desktop problems

  • Provide operational support and administration for various business systems as necessary

  • Prepare tests and applications for monitoring desktop performance and then provide performance statistics

  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring the virtual desktop environment

  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, network cards

  • Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failures, repairs, and installation

  • Conduct research on desktop products in support of desktop procurement and development efforts

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on desktop support to include installing and supporting hardware and software

  • Expert knowledge required for Microsoft & other software products utilized on the desktop or for connectivity, security or access

  • Working knowledge of Office 365

  • Active Directory knowledge

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to listen well to others and develop effective solutions to meet needs

  • Extensive experience providing end-user support, a proven track record of being well organized and able to manage projects to meet deadlines

  • Ability to handle confidential information in accordance with organization policies and procedures

  • Positively interact with personnel in an effort to meet project goals and timelines

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Technology-related field, but will take experience for a candidate working toward a degree

  • Familiar with Amazon WorkSpaces/VM Ware

  • Experience with Mobile Device Management and iOS device provisioning
