Kforce QA Associate Director - Well-Known Healthcare in New York, New York

Kforce is working with a well-known Healthcare Organization in New York, New York (NY).Overview:Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Systems and a matrix reporting relationship to the Chief Technology Officer, the Director of Quality Assurance will oversee and coordinate the planning, design, project execution and implementation of strategic and operational quality assurance activities, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business strategies and operations. This position will work on key initiatives and build strong relationships across the company to successfully complete vital projects that will drive the future of the client's medical center. This position is responsible for the quality implementation of project deliverables, to support systems across the medical center including, clinical, research, educational and enterprise IT applications. This position works closely with IT leaders to ensure timely, accurate, fully tested applications that address business needs. This position will mentor quality assurance team members and oversees test planning and execution processes.Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and plan work activities for a team of both employees and onshore and offshore contractors who are responsible for delivering various testing activities

  • Provide oversight for QA involvement on various IT projects underway and planned using Waterfall and Agile development methodologies

  • Collaborate with IT leaders to provide leadership for planning, developing and implementing information technology initiatives across all areas of the organization

  • Partner with business decision makers to ensure scoping, requirements and design of technology solutions and ongoing support is in alignment with needs

  • Responsible for Implementation Analysts: work with the Implementation Analyst, when appropriate, to define elevation schedules and ensure the integrity of the test environment(s)

  • Must have a Bachelor's in Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems required; Master's degree in either Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems with technology preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of applicable experience leading and/or directing an IT QA team

  • Strong exposure to large scale hospital systems including clinical and ancillaries is a must

  • Demonstrated consistent leadership effectiveness in technology and business related strategic planning, operations, implementation delivery and overall IT capability (people, process, technology) development

  • Working knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations and end to end integration models; must be aware of IT QA best practices

  • Significant exposure to systems management, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems, vendor management, including management of offshore/near shore resources with keen awareness of technology and related business trends

  • Demonstrated, proven understanding and track record of high quality project management and execution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Exposure to Epic EHR modules/testing procedures highly desirable
