The RN - NICU provides direct patient care to critically ill neonates in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Participates in departmental quality improvement projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Graduate of a Registered Nursing program required
One year of experience as a Staff Registered Nurse preferred
Previous neonatal or critical care experience preferred
One year of experience as a Staff Registered Nurse is required to work PRN
