Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Clinical Educator - Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning and conducting needs assessment and evaluating orientation and staff development programs for clinic leadership and non-provider clinical staff. This position ensures clinical services are effective and meet all regulatory requirements and that patients are provided with quality health care.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field required

  • Current California RN license required

  • Four (4) years clinical nursing experience required

  • Previous teaching experience, knowledge of ambulatory care regulations, Joint Commission Standards and scope of practice for LVN and RN required

  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, and effectively communicate with a variety of staff (administrative/clerical, medical assistants, LVNs/RNs, providers, office managers) with different skill levels

  • Knowledge of clinical informatics, computer skills, and adult learning theory is required

  • Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association) 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred

  • Two (2) years of experience in Ambulatory Care preferred
