Valero International Trade Compliance Analyst in SAN ANTONIO, Texas

Performs various duties required to support Valero’s international trade compliance function, including but not limited to analysis, reporting, recordkeeping, compliance assistance and payment of import and export-related taxes, duties and fees. * Administers and maintains the duty-drawback program to include coordination of refunds, drawback validations and verifications. * Supports import, export and related entry filing processes and analyzes processes for solutions to gain operating efficiencies. * Assists with post-entry review and audit processes across various Customs programs. * Maintains and indexes import and export-related files, processing all incoming and outgoing agency-related correspondence and other notices. * Ensures timely payment of all broker and other invoices related to secondary costs associated with import/export operations. * Interfaces with freight forwarders, relevant agencies, customs brokers, external customers, service providers, consultants, and internal business units on all import and export-related issues. * Provides support to other departmental personnel, including assistance in various special projects or assignments related to compliance, brokerage, foreign-trade zones or other international trade operations.


  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or foreign equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a position related to Import/Export operations or Accounting required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including ability to use Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLookups, and complex formulas required.
  • Experience using SAP/TSW systems preferred.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and and experience
