Kforce MAC Technical Support Analyst in San Ramon, California

Kforce has a client in search of a MAC Technical Support Analyst in San Ramon, California (CA). Summary:The MAC Technical Support Analyst duties include face to face interaction with the end user providing support. They work normal business hours 8am-5pm with no overtime and no on-call work. This is a high visibility position so the manager is interested in reviewing and interviewing candidates right away. One will be responsible for supervising the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components. Major Job Duties:

  • Test and image desktops and laptops

  • Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot, software and computer peripherals

  • Setup, configure, and add all hardware

  • Assist Corporate Desk Side Support technicians with large IMAC's

  • Assure that all tickets requiring follow up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention

  • Provide technical support to end users via telephone

  • Back up and burn end user data

  • Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current processes

  • Assist coworkers in resolution of end users' technical issues

  • Assist coworkers in the execution of established processes and escalations

  • Test, image, and clean PC's, laptop, monitors, printers, and other related hardware

  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • A certification and all other certs are a plus

  • 5 - 7 years of hands on technical knowledge of laptop and desktop design and software installation required

  • 2 years of experience

  • Possess 1 to 2 years of experience in a break/fix environment

  • Must have experience with MAC (apple) software and hardware

  • MAC knowledge (hardware and software)

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

  • Customer service - top required skill (customer service experience is the number one must have, training can be provided in the technical aspect)

  • Team player and proactive top required skill

Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and a quick learner

  • Able to lift and palletize heavy equipment (PC's, monitors, printers)
