New Perspective Senior Living is seeking an Director of Nursing RN (Director of Wellness).


As the Director of Nursing RN (Director of Wellness), you will provide direction and leadership to our team of licensed nurses, caregivers, and coordinators, as applicable, and assume responsibility and accountability for the delivery of quality nursing services and care to residents. In the role of Director of Nursing RN (Director of Wellness), you are a professional who leads nurses and other team members by example in the deliver of quality resident care and services and champions the company s Mission, Values and Principles of Service.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Supervises and provides direction to licensed nurses, caregivers, and, as applicable, coordinators and assumes responsibility for the overall nursing operations of the community

Responsible for medication management and appropriate documentation in the eMAR and med passer delegation

Oversight and monitoring of resident care delivery and clinical outcomes

Ensures documentation of resident assessments, individualized service plans, and resident service records is accurate, current, and completed timely

Performs nursing and DOW responsibilities in accordance with applicable state and federal laws

Reports to their supervisor and/or contacts the Ethics Hotline at (877) 254-1706 to report in good faith actual or perceived improper activities and other job-related concerns in accordance with company policies and procedure

Develops, monitors, and trains nurses and team members on quality improvement initiatives and policies and procedures

Ensures through monitoring and oversight of team member adherence to policies and procedures

Provides and oversees licensed nurse and team member employment development opportunities, education, and ensures training requirements are met

Assists with recruiting, hiring, onboarding , and retention of qualified licensed nurses and team members

Provides verbal coaching of licensed nurses, caregivers, and coordinators, as applicable, on performance expectations and provides timely performance evaluations and initiates progressive disciplinary action as warranted

Obtains a 90% or greater on audits of clinical services

Coordinates resident care delivery through interaction and collaboration with residents, families, physicians, team members, pharmacies, and third-party vendors

Communicates and interacts with residents, families, and team members in a professional, respectful, and effective manner

Champions hospitality and delivers excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors

Assists with sales and marketing efforts

Summary of Qualifications:

A current and unencumbered nurse license for the state in which the community is located

Experience working with older adults in a senior living, long-term care, home health or other health care setting

Ability to anticipate and solve problems

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Works effectively in a team environment

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Demonstrated ability and/or strong desire to interact with seniors

Strong computer skills and ability to proficiently utilize a variety of electronic devices

* 2 years of community/facility management and leadership experience required. Preference for this experience is in the Long Term Care / Assisted Living setting
