Medical Records Clerk provides daily medical records management, including document collection, technical validation and records maintenance to ensure compliance with HCFA and other regulatory agencies.
Accurate data processing of documentation received from the filed. Making sure all documents have appropriate signatures and dates according to Genesis policies and procedures
Maintain filing of documentation on a daily basis. Once the patients chart is completed it should be processed for off site storage.
Working with field staff to clear outstanding documentation on the document status report by phone and/or by email
Answers day-to-day questions from Directors of Rehab and/or Rehab Tech.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Medical Records Clerk position must possess a minimum of a high school degree or equivalent, along with one year of experience in claims, billing and medical records.
