Kforce Material Handler - Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Tempe, Arizona

Kforce has a client in search of a Material Handler - Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Tempe, AZ.Responsibilities:

  • Shipping and receiving, as well as kitting raw materials per work orders to be issued to production for assembly and preps work orders in assembly in SMT

  • Shipping and all transactions associated with the function

  • ACE, AES, and international laws and export compliance regulations

  • Works with Customer Service to ensure proper transportation carriers are used

  • Ensures that daily shipment requirements are supported

  • Receiving raw materials and understands importance and has traceability experience to the supplier vendor lot number

  • Works with MRP (Oracle) and has an understanding of locations/work order completions/sub-inventory transfer

  • Works with COTS components

  • Works closely with Purchasing for purchase order reconciliation

  • Sort, counts, and checks raw materials, finished and semi-finished parts

  • Follows the guidelines in receiving chemicals (MSDS's) and maintains necessary clerical records

  • Handles raw materials in compliance with internal Electrostatic Discharge Policies and Procedures

  • Issues material to WO and follows Bill of Material and Work Order routing

  • Responsible for inventory accuracy at all levels

  • Maintains inventory on hand and stockroom data files

  • Performs required cycle counts

  • Audits stocking locations to ensure system transaction accuracy

  • Performs physical inventories as required

  • Kits all products to support the production line

  • Delivers all issued material to production floor, shelves, or racks

  • Prepares components for shipment to contract manufacturers when required

  • Understands and can research and reconcile inventory

  • Stores electronic components properly

  • Validates previous transactions for discrepancies and ensures internal specifications are met and traceability requirements are 100% accurate

  • Typically requires a High School education or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of warehouse experience

  • 1-5 years minimum Electronics Environment experience

  • MRP experience

  • Experience receiving chemicals (MSDS's) and maintaining necessary clerical records

  • Experience handling raw materials in compliance with internal Electrostatic Discharge Policies and Procedures

  • Experience providing Kitting to all products to support the production line

  • Experience researching and reconciling inventory

  • Experience storing electronic components properly including an understanding of MSD components

  • Understanding of MSD components
