Supervise a small to medium size group of employees in a skilled area of work which involves the construction, repair and maintenance of plant equipment including Tool & Dies. Work is of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general practices, policies and standards. Use of independent judgment.

Manages the maintenance and repair of plant facilities

Maintains required records

Conducts appropriate checks and tests and communicates evaluation of results

Recommends solutions to problems

Frequent contact with others outside or work group

Candidates should be knowledgeable about castings, iron and aluminum operations or pre-machining, preferred.

Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Knowledge of basic math including trigonometry

Medium level of interpersonal skills to work effectivelt with others

Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts

Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required

Knowledge of and ability to effectively use computer software as it pertains top engineering, preferred.
