The IT Project Manager will be supporting a team responsible for the Technology Services & Operations Shared Technology team’s service portfolios program/project execution. In this role you will provide project management expertise by planning, organizing, directing and coordinating activities to achieve cost, schedule and performance requirements.
Interface with IMS Business Units and Shared Service organizations to help support business growth and optimization initiatives that leverage the TS&O Shared Services Technology Portfolio
Has prime responsibility for schedule, performance, and cost attainment for projects or tasks assigned by program managers. Anticipates and avoids problems and if necessary, revises project plans as permitted by policy and project requirements.
Interface with engineers and other project team members to obtain status on daily activities as related to project deliverables.
Has prime responsibility for schedule, performance, and cost attainment for projects or tasks assigned by program managers. Takes all possible actions to avoid or minimize problem areas. Anticipates and avoids problems and if necessary, revises project plans as permitted by policy and project requirements.
Support audits of project documentation and other artifacts in support of the project management process.
Tracks project performance and directs internal project-related communications with the ability to communicate documents and status reports effectively.
Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor’s degree or three years of prior relevant experience.
5 years’ experience in project management.
Experience individually managing customer-funded projects, or similar experience.
Good working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
A highly organized, eager, and energetic individual is required.
Familiarity with project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, SmartSheet) is a plus.
Familiarity with technical project management (Networks, Cloud Platforms) is a plus.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment supporting innovative solutions desired.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
