Description:

The

microelectronics Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for the visual

inspection, dimensional measurements, and paperwork verification of incoming

material and work in process. Products are high-reliability custom components

used in higher-level assemblies and consist of chip and wire-bonded IC’s,

electro-optical modules, multichip modules, RF components, BGA’s, and hybrids.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming visual, dimensional, anddocumentation inspections.

  • Perform visual inspection of work in process.

  • Audit work in process paperwork.

  • Accurately and clearly log results ofinspections and descriptions of non-conformances into Oracle database.

  • Process MRB transactions as directed byengineering.

  • Shift schedule is Monday-Thursday 5 am – 3:30pm

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possessthe following combination of education and experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5years minimum experience using a microscope to inspect or assemble microelectronicassemblies and components, including (but not limited to) substrates, die, wire-bonds,epoxy-attach, solder, mechanical parts, and various other components.

  • Knowledgeof MIL-STD-883 and IPC-A-610 is required.

  • Demonstrated use of mechanicalinspection hand tools.

  • Positionwill interface with swing and weekend shifts, as well as operators,technicians, and engineers, so clear communication and documentation skills arecritical.

  • Strongattention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienceusing X-Ray, XRF, and CMM equipment.

  • Experienceanalyzing/interpreting CSAM images.

  • Experiencewith Oracle.

  • ASQCQI or CQT certification.

  • Trained in ASME Y14.5 geometricdimensioning and tolerancing.

  • Experiencewith Lean Manufacturing, Fortive Business System (FBS), or Danaher BusinessSystem (DBS)
