U.S. Bank Strategic Initiatives Manager in BOSTON, Massachusetts

Provides business and financial analyses related to strategic plans, budgets, forecasting, and allocation of expenses for business case development. Additionally, performs peer group and competitive analysis and acts as a thought partner for all levels of management. Researches and resolves problems and prepares a variety of management presentations to enable senior leadership decision making. May oversee implementation of certain priority initiatives and set up governance structures to enable transparency and rapid escalation of issues. More specifically, this role will be responsible for the following:

• Developing strategic initiatives across Wealth Management & Investment Services (WM&IS) particularly around technology and business plans

• Managing capital planning for WM&IS projects by coordinating with various business leaders

• Ensuring consistency and integration across various strategic initiatives

• Exploring applications for transformative technologies to support growth and efficiency within WM&IS (e.g., block chain, natural language processing)

• Gathering industry perspectives and perform competitive analysis to better position WM&IS businesses


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Eight or more years of data analysis experience with large data sets

  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret results for insights

  • Ability to develop and maintain strategic partnership with Senior Business unit management, business partners and project sponsors, as well as communicate effectively with business, and development teams, end users, and product owners

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organization and project management skills

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Solid and proven problem-solving skills

  • Ability to navigate organizations and influence variety of stakeholders

  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of financial analysis, and planning

  • Expert ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data

  • Master's degree preferred
