Sutter Health Laboratory Technician III - Per Diem - Burlingame in Burlingame, California
The purpose of this position is to relieve the licensed Medical Technologist of those in lab duties which do not require a Clinical Laboratory license, as provided for under the Business and Professions Code of the State of California and the Clinical Laboratories Improvement Act (CLIA) 1992.
The person filling this position reports directly to the technical supervisor in the department in which he is working or the lab manager. The incumbent must work closely with the technical staff in coordinating daily work tasks associated with his or her job responsibilities.
This position requires a minimum of two years recent working experience in a clinical laboratory, during which time each candidate must demonstrate successful performance in the duties for the laboratory technician I or II or equivalent position.
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology
Current CA Phlebotomy certification
