Reports to the Sr. Director, Management and Operational Support. Responsible for carrying out various tasks that are analytical and organizational in nature; performing project management and quality assurance functions as assigned. This includes the reporting of key statistical performance indicators both internally and externally.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor contracts, budgets, organization, programs and administrative functions at the correctional facilities, identifying problem areas, proposing and implementing appropriate action.

  • Identify positive and negative trends in correctional facility operations and provide appropriate guidance and/or staff training.

  • Coordinate all aspects of the MTC security audit process, including interviews, gathering facts and other data, reviewing a wide variety of records and reports, analyzing data and determining the sufficiency, reliability and relevance of evidence used to support the conclusions and recommendations. Provide direction to other evaluators, assign work and coordinate efforts.

  • Recommend corrective action as needed and conduct follow up reviews to ensure problem resolution.

  • Assist in the coordination and preparation of proposals.

  • Monitor the development and implementation of facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual and corporate requirements.

  • Provide assistance to the corrections marketing, vice president as requested.

  • Maintain accountability of property; adheres to safety practices.

  • Develop and maintain an effective follow-up system to assure responsive and timely replies to audit reports and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken in a timely manner.

  • Develop and maintain an internal system by which performance indicators are accurately reported, trends identified and comparisons made to meaningful benchmarks.

  • Assist in the preparation of regular reports including MTC board reports and quarterly report of key performance indicators.

  • Collect independent information and research to remain abreast of emerging standards and state of the art best practices for the corrections department.

  • Assist in the development of training curriculum and provide training support as needed.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in administration or related field and five years related experience, three of which must be supervisory. Master's degree preferred. Corrections experience preferred. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements under special circumstances, if approved by senior vice president, corrections. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Unless waived by management, valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
