Microchip Technology Compiler Staff Software Engineer in Chandler, Arizona
Microchip is seeking a software engineer with 12+ years of experience to contribute to our embedded compilers. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for the executing the following objectives:
Provide technical content to our embedded compilers, libraries (standard C library and math libraries), supporting infrastructure, and related projects
Provide accurate, timely and supportive resolution to customer concerns, including correcting faulty code and identification and resolution of bugs
Understand and comply with organizational project management directives, assignments, and designing, coding, testing and reporting practices
Bachelors degree in a technical field or extensive experience in the field
Experience in C and several other languages
Experience developing compilers and related tools (binutils, assemblers, linkers, optimization, libraries for intrinsics, etc.)
Exposure or practical work in embedded software/firmware development is a big plus
