Analog Design Engineer for the MCU32 Microcontroller Division. Job responsibilities include analog IC design from design, simulation, layout supervision, performing design reviews, timing models along with supporting debug, validation and characterization of silicon. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and be able to work effectively within a team. Specific areas of technical background on one or more of the following areas: Low Power ADCs, DACs, PLLs, Power Management, Bandgaps, Comparators, Operational Amplifiers and Oscillators

  • Perform analog IC design for use in a microcontroller environment. Experience in SOC design is essential to being successful in this position

  • Analog IC design requirements will include:

  • Work with Senior Designers in the team

  • Take a specification and implement all functions while understanding the environment and intended application

  • Create timing models and manage creation of behavioral models. Both are used by other teams within the division

  • Perform all analog IC design duties which include circuit design, pre and post layout simulations, Monte Carlo and mismatch simulations

  • Manage the layout of the design which will also include extracted simulations, defining matching requirements, metal migration issues and well proximity affects

  • Document the design throughout the development phase and present periodic reviews.

  • Support debug, validation and characterization of silicon which will require good lab and debug skills

  • Have a good understanding of tools

  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of Cadence ADEL/ADEXL/Spectre

  • Having experience with the EAD tool suite and AMS is a bonus

  • Must also have good communication and team working skills

  • Be able to work in cross-functional and cross-divisional teams is required to be successful in this position

  • We are looking for an MSEE in analog IC design
