Directly responsible for managing and leading the Loan Syndications Underwriting and Portfolio Management team.
Head of Syndications Underwriting and Portfolio Management will work closely and collaborate with the different teams within Loan Syndications (and others in the Loan Markets group) to minimize execution risk.
The team will be accountable for the following in collaboration with the other Loan Syndications team leaders:
Lender Term Sheet Preparation.
Prescreen Memo Review.
Underwriting and Due Diligence.
Preparation of Confidential Information Memorandum offering (Bank Book).
Launch and Maintenance of Syndications Stage SyndTrak Site.
Logistics Coordination for Investor Meetings.
Closing of the debt facilities in collaboration with CIBC’s Loan Services group.
Portfolio Management of existing syndications with focus on amendment and renewal process.
Coordination of communication with investor base relating to existing syndications.
Maintain market knowledge and industry awareness, and effectively communicate the data and market intelligence to others within CIBC Bank USA.
Required skills include advanced communication (written and oral) and management skills (preferably as a “player coach”), analytical, problem solving, and capital markets experience preferred. Minimum 10 to 15 years of financial services experience (debt capital markets or syndications). College degree required.
