Position Overview:

Perform systematic investigations to determine the ability of plant processes and equipment to meet stated requirements. This includes process capability studies, process research, process design, process optimization and process validations. Recommend and implement solutions to area problems. This includes process optimization, process capability studies, equipment\system validations and process validations, process automation, process controls as applicable. Recommend and implement lean solutions to manufacturing operations. Lead, collaborate, and support in the manufacturing of products in accordance with established regulatory requirements.

Function Specific Activities:

Knowledge in Statistics, Quality Tools (Problem Solving, Pareto Analysis, etc.) 2. Project Management 3. Computer Knowledge (Power Point, Excel, Words, Flowcharting) 4. Computer Aided Design experiences is desirable.

Job Requirements:

Lead problem solving efforts in area/system under his/her responsibility. Handles technical problems.

  1. Investigates technical problems and recommend solutions. This includes customer complaints and internal process deviations.

  2. Lead investigations of GMP, Quality, Safety and Environmental issues and address implementations of corrective actions to avoid reoccurrence.

  3. Writes and/or update working instructions for new and/or changed processes. Verify validity of existing manufacturing and/or facilities working instructions.

  4. Participate and promote activities with the Operational Excellence Team that contribute toward continuous improvement using established lean tools.

  5. Monitors plant process performance, evaluate performance metrics, and initiates process improvements activities.

  6. Writes capability study protocols and performs capability studies to existing processes as applicable.

  7. Develop and implement statistical process control to existing plant processes, when needed.

  8. Assure compliance with Preventive Maintenance Program, Calibration system program and OEE.

  9. Assume project manager responsibility for equipment and/or process project from definition, design and implementation through startup of plant operations.

  10. Develop standard work to document common lean activities like 5S, Kanban and flow cell construction.

  11. Monitor the compliance of the production plan taking in consideration the priorities, changes and coordination. Prepare progress reports as needed. 13. Assists the Production Managers in establishing corrective actions and providing follow up on the inventory accuracy of the production areas.

  12. Verifies and monitors the process controls and provides recommendations for improvement. Prepare compliance report.

  1. Assures the documentation process of the area meets the requirements. Recommends and implements corrective actions as necessary.

  2. Conducts internal audits, prepares finding report and action plan as required.

  3. Coordinates the Production Schedule and measures the changes to the manufacturing schedule based on customer priorities and operational capacity.

  4. Maintain a clean and orderly work place in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Verify the associate and visitor compliance with safety equipment usage.

  5. Lead/Support Validation of process and equipment as established by KORE

  6. Provide support to the commercialization meeting as required.

Non Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinates and assists the procurement of necessary non capital equipment and material needed in the area. 2. Assists in the preparation of the Unit budget, keep operational expense within recommendations and explain variances.

Monitors plant process performance, evaluate performance metrics, and initiates process improvements activities.

  1. Examine current process technology and determine its application to CRI's processes. This includes quality control, new processes and packaging.

  2. Writes and/or update working instructions for new and/or changed processes. Verify validity of existing manufacturing and/or facilities working instructions.

  3. Writes validation and/or commissioning protocols and validates new process equipment and/or process changes as required.

  4. Assume process-engineering responsibility for equipment and/or process project from design through start up of plant operations.

  5. Prepare equipment specifications, perform bid analysis, and creates process P&ID, and process flow diagram, when needed.

  6. Prepare proposal statement of work, equipment list, and proposal drawings that involve new manufacturing and facilities processes and/or changes to existing processes.

  7. Develop and implement statistical process control to existing plant processes, when needed.
