Summary of Duties:

The Office Associate works as part of the OSU Extension team in Darke County and provides administrative and program-related support for the county Extension Office; provides customer service through contact with the public; provides programming support for Extension Educators, Program Coordinators, and Program Assistants; assists with correspondence and documents; develops flyers, brochures, and promotional materials as needed; maintains documentation of program registration, fees collected, and materials used; answers phone and serves as primary first contact for on-site visitors; opens, sorts, and distributes daily mail, faxes, and other communications; operates office equipment and troubleshoots when necessary; completes purchase requests; orders supplies and equipment as needed; makes service and repair calls as needed for equipment such as copiers, folding machines, etc.; maintains inventory of publications and office supplies and re-orders as needed; maintains a high level of professionalism at all times and protects confidential information; copies and correlates program materials; maintains the county website.

Required Qualifications:

Six months of experience (600 hours of training) using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex; six months of experience (600 hours of course work) in office practices and procedures; six months of experience (600 hours of course work) in customer service.

Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience using Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and PowerPoint; experience with file management and with the preparation and distribution of documents; excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills, and personal initiative; creative document design expertise.

Target Salary: $11.10 - $14.40 Hourly
