SUMMARY

Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks and approves all vouchers for payment.

  • Also prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary.

  • Answers all vendor inquiries.

  • Analyzes vendor accounts and negotiates extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted.

  • Prepares accounts payable checks.

  • Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.

  • Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.

  • Assists in monthly closings.

  • Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.

  • Performs other duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


COMPENSATION:-$15.00 to $18.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of Concert Technologies.


  • Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


  • Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


  • Computer Skills

To perform this position successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
