Responsible for the design and development activities associated with network switching products and network management systems. Drives product development and test programs with external vendors to ensure maximum product quality and schedule fidelity. Performs complex technical analysis of software, hardware, and networking systems including wired/wireless Ethernet, Fiber Channel and converged infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides support for all customers as it relates to network design, network operations, network convergence and network security

  • Manages the planning, development, installation and operations of network systems by evaluating current and future business requirements

  • Develops, maintains, communicates and executes project plans and schedules, prioritizes requirements, and coordinates teams

  • Ensures products are compatible with existing and future environmental integration

  • Identifies, evaluates and resolves financial and business issues

  • Works on abstract problems across all functional areas within the networking environment

  • Provides support, investigating, analyzing, and resolving problems on network components

  • Makes recommendations on the development of new internal programs or modifications of current systems

  • Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions

  • Forecasts, models, and utilizes advanced analytical tools

  • Creates new procedures and processes to drive desired results

  • Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels

  • Makes recommendations on development of innovative and cost-effective solutions to problems of customers

Essential Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor's degree with 5-10+ years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge with appropriate networks, products and protocols

  • Troubleshooting skills

  • Interpersonal and communication skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment
