UnitedHealth Group Data Analyst - Eden Prairie, MN in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

The Sr Provider Data Analyst is responsible for the audit and management of Skilled Nursing Facility network provider data. The Sr Provider Data Analyst will conduct audits, develop and maintain documentation, procedures and report findings. They will be a key resource to Network Directors, addressing questions regarding provider network data, contract set-up, payment methodology and other processes. Attention to detail, problem solving, and establishing and maintaining strong business relationships are crucial for success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute audit of Skilled Nursing Facility network provider data

  • Prepares reports, presentations, verbal/written correspondences, regarding audit program and results

  • Collaborate with network resources and publicly available resources to insure accuracy of Skilled Nursing Facility network data

  • Performs moderately complex analysis, conduct research, analyzes information and develop recommendations

  • Analyze data in order to identify data anomalies and discrepancies

  • Identify root causes of data issues and engage appropriate areas to correct causes

  • Analyzes processes and presents findings to Director to develop or improve processes

  • Develop and maintain Contract Administration suite of performance reporting

  • Collaborate with analytic resources to develop additional reporting

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or related experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in a network management-related role, such as contracting or provider services

  • Familiarity with use of financial models and analysis in negotiating rates with providers and with performing network adequacy analysis

  • Experience using Emptoris, NDB, Cosmos, NICE and/or CSP Facets

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite including Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of claims processing systems and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MS Access

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information form others

  • Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others

  • Strong customer service skills
