Simmons Bank IT Analyst I in Fort Worth, Texas
The IT Analyst I serves as a front line support on business applications used throughout the organization. This position provides middle level in-house support to all Simmons Associates; facilitating the application support, end user parameter request, report writing, and overseeing implementation of technologies in the IT Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance to Simmons Associates for all business related applications and processes.
Analyzes the infrastructure and business processes for improvement in efficiencies.
Acquires and maintains application expertise through certification and educational programs.
Provides business units and management with enhancements to reporting capabilities from core applications and ancillary services as necessary.
Maintains measurements of application performance and ensures accuracy of automated functions.
Coordinates installation of new releases and software upgrades with Business Unit Managers, IT Managers, and/or Vendors.
Participates on special projects as assigned by management or supervisors.
Complies with bank policies as applicable to this position.
Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

o Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
o Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations
o Ability to write simple-to-business correspondence, routine reports, and procedures.
o Ability to speak effectively and present information in one-on-one/small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization.
Education and/or Experience
o Associates Degree (2 year) from an accredited university/college OR
o One to two years of experience as an Application Analyst.
o MS Office programs.
o Windows Operating System
Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)
o Strong oral and written communication skills.
o Strong organizational, problem solving, and planning skills with the ability to set priorities.
o Must have working knowledge of applications and architecture, preferably banking software- software and workflow design skills preferred.
o Must have microcomputer knowledge (use of database and Microsoft networking operating systems, documents, and spreadsheets.)
o General banking knowledge preferred.
o Willingness to take advantage of opportunities to be involved in community and charitable organizations.
