Its talented corps of Imagineers is responsible for the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects.

What we’re looking for…

A Project Coordination Intern who will be responsible for coordinating the quality, schedule and scope of Company projects by ensuring streamlined communication, product movement and process flow from concept design through implementation and closeout. The Coordinator must consistently maintain a bottom-up, broad perspective across all disciplines in order to ensure that all aspects of the work are covered and no efforts are duplicated.

Responsibilities :

You will…

  • Work with the creative team on the day to day needs of digital design projects such as the Play Disney app

  • Manage a definable scope of work with the guidance of senior team leaders

  • Develop and/or maintain scope lists, show lists, deliverable matrixes, shipping documents

  • Gather design input and distribute communication

  • Monitor meetings and other communications and provide updates as necessary in order to ensure proper integration and to resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Partner with various disciplines to create physical and digital presentations throughout a project’s life cycle

  • Coordinate mock ups and vendor liaison issues

  • Communicate with more senior level Project Coordinators, Producers, Show Managers, Project Managers, and discipline Leads relative to status updates of schedule progress, design inputs required, completion of design milestones, metrics on earned value, etc.

Basic Qualifications :

What you bring to the role…

  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Photoshop, and Illustrator

  • Understanding of creative development/process and workflow for complex projects

  • Ability to integrate collaboration within the project team

  • Appreciation for an integrated design and production experience with multiple disciplines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to edit video clips within a presentation if necessary

  • Experience or interest in interactive game design

  • Experience in mobile game or app production

  • Experience working with Jira or similar project tracking software

Required Education :

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or graduated within the past 6 months, from an accredited college/university earning a degree in in theater, environmental design, digital design, game design or other entertainment or business-related fields

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

  • Must provide full work availability

  • Must provide own transportation to/from work

  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)

Program Length:

The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2019 through August/September 2019. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
