JOB DESCRIPTION Foreman ï¿½ Bridge Division Scope of Work: Oversee crew in the performance of bridge maintenance and repairs on concrete, steel and timber structures. Responsible for assisting in oversight of safety, quality and all repair activities surrounding the assigned project. Responsibilities include training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: ï¿½Directs and manages the day-to day activities of the crew in conjunction with guidance from assigned supervisor. ï¿½Enforces compliance with safety procedures; use of PPE and keeping required records. ï¿½Monitors and closely controls all maintenance and other related costs associated with structure work. ï¿½Assists to ensure department meets its capital projects service goals. ï¿½Manage equipment operations in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures. ï¿½Perform equipment safety and maintenance checks. ï¿½Assist in maintaining DOT compliance on regulated equipment. ï¿½Report all defects or needed repairs to supervisor. ï¿½Conduct and participate in job briefings and understand daily production goals. ï¿½Fill out and maintain required regulatory forms. ï¿½Promote a safe and drug free working environment. ï¿½Other projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications: ï¿½1 -3 years related work experience ï¿½Familiar with DOT specifications in TN &/or GA ï¿½Demonstrated proficiency in timber, steel and concrete construction and repairs. ï¿½Experience with heavy hand tools; previous work experience outdoors. ï¿½Poses the ability to work at great heights. ï¿½Ability to lift construction materials exceeding 50 lbs. ï¿½Ability to walk, stand, climb, squat, bend and twist continually and for long periods of time ï¿½Understand and carry out oral and written communication both general and technical. ï¿½Demonstrated ability to operate equipment in varying working and weather conditions. ï¿½Ability to work independently and within a team ï¿½Must pass post offer drug screen ï¿½Must provide proof of eligibility to legally work in the US. ï¿½All new hires will be processed through E ï¿½ Verify ï¿½Field position with extensive travel required, work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, and overtime. ï¿½This position will have a company truck.
