UPMC Chautauqua at WCA is currently hiring a Part Time Professional Staff Nurse to support the Maternity Department.

Sign-On Bonus Details (Full Time or Flex Full Timestatus)

• $10,000 sign-on bonus available for nurses withover two years of experience

• $5,000 sign-on bonus available for GraduateNurses and nurses with less than two years of experience

*Part Time status positions are also eligible forsign-on bonus at a prorated amount - $5,000 for experienced nurses with over 2years of experience, and $2,500 for GNs and nurses with less than 2 years ofexperience

  • Applies the nursing processwithin the framework of Relationship Based Care to create a healingenvironment. Formulates daily goals and a plan of care for patients thatinvolves the patient as partner and considers the individual needs of thepatient in a holistic manner.

Demonstrates critical thinking in the identification of clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues for the patient within an episode of care.

Practices solid communication skills, and is able to articulate and translate the patient's condition to other care providers and to negotiate and make recommendations for changes in patient care and unit practices. Patient documentation is comprehensive and promotes communication between caregivers.

Incorporates national professional organization as well as business unit and health system goals to improve patient safety, quality, and satisfaction.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of adultlearning principles (and/or teaching children if applicable) and appliesin teaching of patients, families, students, and new staff. Providesdetailed and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectivelyguide them through the episode of care as well as transition to anotherlevel of care and/or home.

  • Minimum six months of RNexperience.

  • OB experience preferred.

  • BSN preferred.
