Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others
Capital Market plays a pivotal role in best execution strategies at various points in mortgage life cycle, spanning across origination, core servicing, and default servicing. Capital markets risk is responsible for developing and executing a discipline within mortgage banking where both risk and return considerations are factored into decision making. Key decisions that are supported are HFI Portfolio credit box decisions, HFI Portfolio Whole Loan Acquisition, Securitization initiatives, Whole Loan Sale, Mortgage & Home Equity Pricing & ROE, and periodic approvals and performance monitoring of strategies.
Provide independent risk oversight in the assessment and control of the Capital Market business.
Conduct deep dive exercises related to the Mortgage business and provide value to proactive strategies impacting capital markets spanning across origination, servicing, and default management. Involvement in review of new NBIAs (New Business Initiatives), performance monitoring on new strategies, improvements in current BAU on process side and model
Ongoing approval of new transactions / portfolio reviews / risk discussions. Provide credible challenge from a holistic risk framework and advise senior risk management with detailed risk & reward analysis to formalize key decisions
Risk point person for Mortgage and HE pricing – coordinate risk owned pricing assumptions and partner with loss forecasting and strategic analytics team on pricing changes and impact to portfolio mix & stress returns
Work closely with the origination risk team and build an integrated approach to new product/ policy decisions that incorporates capital markets input from a loan salability & securitization perspective. Find gaps in Risk Policies / Underwriting guidelines. Work with Risk Policy to upgrade risk management practices.
Capital markets interact with various channels in MB. The person has to play a key role in coordinating various cap markets initiatives and broader MB initiatives. Time management and critical pathing will be a key in this role

Work with the Front Office, Finance, Model Review Group, Policy, Finance, ad Technology related to all aspects of Capital Markets Business
10-15 years of experience in risk, finance and regulatory, risk and controls functions in the financial services industry.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree required in Finance/ Maths based discipline, Master’s degree a plus
Experience with residential mortgage products and existing knowledge of securitization. Experience in market risk, valuation for fixed income products is a plus.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, critical thinking, investigative problem-solving and decision making
Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of functional groups
Ability to work independently with high attention to detail. High level of self-initiative required, including an ability to balance and execute multiple projects at once and deliver results under tight time constraint
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Programming language is a plus
