We are a team that grows with big challenges, results, quality, and agility.Who does the Product Specialist work with and report into?The person will be a part of a growing team, and will report into the Non-Linear Product Manager.The key to this role is to have continuous interaction with all the key functions – Commercial, Operations, Dev & Engineering, Clients – both external and internal Comcast clients such as NBCU and Spotlight, and Industry bodies (IAB, MRC, NAB) to help build our product profile. Communication to other key stakeholders to ensure we are developing and building a market facing platform which will deliver efficiencies and ROI for both the Advertisers and the Broadcasters.What are some interesting problems you’ll be working on?The biggest challenge is simplifying, automating and unifying what is a complex ecosystem of linear and non-linear technologies and delivery solutions across multiple advertisers and broadcasters. Some specific problems:What it takes to be part of a team which is building and operating multiple products at varying stages of their lifecycle, with resource trade-offs.The tightly interwoven coordination required with other departments including Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Operations and the ability to treat them as a client.How to speak with customers; be seen as an industry expert and key partner in helping clients navigate a dynamic marketplace.How to collaborate and provide consistent, value-added leadership from a Product perspective and the company as a wholeWhere can you make an impact?You’ll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast to deliver a seamless unified platform to deliver advertising across both linear and non-linear channels resulting in a leading global platform which is unique in the market place through scale of market share across markets around the world.Responsibilities:Responsible for management and development of the Linear Ad-Delivery Product and its growth through strategic product planning and marketing. Captures, articulates and manages requirements and use case documentation. Evaluates new product initiatives, identifies the appropriate business stakeholders, and works with them to define detailed business requirements. Develops financial and operational objectives. Specific responsibilities are the following:Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the launch of new services, features and enhancements on time and meet the requirements.Develops product pricing structure, with Product Manager, using current cost estimates, competitive assessments on pricing and product features, margin, and commission guidelines provided by management and market information.Provides needs and opportunities for new products through research and feasibility analysis.Supplies pricing, product and application information to the Commercial team and customer service concerning the product lines.Utilizes market information and performs necessary analysis to make recommendations to the Product Manager to adjust product roadmap based on products and programs found in the marketplace.Makes product improvement recommendations to meet changing operational, sales and market needs.Helps develop strategies to adjust and promote various product lines, to improve sales and profit.Makes recommendations regarding training needs and assists in training Commercial team and customer service representatives.Tracks competitive pricing, performance and distribution practices; researches new competitors and competitive products.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Employees at all levels are expect to: Understand our Operating Principles; make them the guidelines for how you do your jobLead the customer experience - think and act in ways that put our customers first, give them seamless digital options at every touchpoint, and make them promoters of our products and servicesKnow your stuff - be enthusiastic learners, users and advocates of our game-changing technology, products and services, especially our digital tools and experiencesWin as a team - make big things happen by working together and being open to new ideasBe an active part of the Net Promoter System - a way of working that brings more employee and customer feedback into the company - by joining huddles, making call backs and helping us elevate opportunities to do better for our customersDrive results and growthRespect and promote inclusion and diversityDo what's right for each other, our customers, investors and our communitiesAt Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS), we’re Connecting Comcast Technology to the World.
